Yes. Forge Climate installs modern gas boilers for properties connected to mains gas. Our engineer is fully Gas Safe registered and experienced in installing a wide range of boiler systems.

How long does installation take?

Most gas boiler installations can be completed within one day. If additional upgrades to the heating system or pipework are required, the installation may take a little longer, but we will always advise you beforehand.

Can you replace an old oil boiler?

Yes. Replacing older oil boilers is a common service we provide. Upgrading to a modern, high efficiency oil boiler can improve heating performance and help reduce fuel consumption.

How much does an oil boiler cost?

The cost of installing an oil boiler depends on the type of boiler required, the size of the property and the complexity of the heating system. After assessing your property we will provide a clear and detailed quotation.

Will my home be left clean?

Yes. We take care to protect your property during installation and make sure the work area is left clean and tidy once the job is completed.

How long does a boiler service take?

A typical boiler service usually takes around 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the boiler type and the condition of the system.

What happens during a boiler service?

During a service we inspect the key components, check the safety controls, test the system and make sure the boiler is operating efficiently and safely. We will let you know if anything needs attention.

How often should a boiler be serviced?

Most boilers should be serviced once a year to make sure they are operating safely and efficiently. Annual servicing can also help maintain manufacturer warranties and reduce the risk of unexpected faults.

Do you service both gas and oil boilers?

Yes. Forge Climate services both gas and oil boilers. Our engineer is Gas Safe and OFTEC registered, so we can carry out servicing on both types of heating system.

Can servicing help prevent boiler breakdowns?

Yes. Regular servicing helps identify potential issues early, before they develop into larger faults, which reduces the likelihood of breakdowns and costly repairs.

Do you repair gas and oil boilers?

Yes. Forge Climate repairs both gas and oil boilers. Our engineer is Gas Safe and OFTEC registered and experienced in diagnosing faults across a wide range of heating systems.

What causes boilers to stop working?

Boilers can develop faults for a number of reasons, including worn components, low system pressure, pump issues or problems with the ignition or controls. We diagnose the cause before carrying out any repair.

How quickly can repairs be completed?

Many boiler faults can be repaired during the same visit once the issue has been identified. More complex problems may require additional parts, but we always aim to restore your heating as quickly as possible.

Is it better to repair or replace a boiler?

This depends on the age of the boiler, the type of fault and the overall condition of the system. We assess the problem and recommend the most practical and cost effective solution honestly.

Can you repair older boiler systems?

In many cases older boilers can still be repaired if replacement parts are available and the system is still safe to operate. We will always advise you honestly if a repair is suitable or if replacement is the better option.

What is central heating powerflushing?

Powerflushing is a cleaning process that removes sludge, rust and debris from a central heating system using specialist equipment and cleaning chemicals, helping the system run more efficiently.

How long does powerflushing take?

Powerflushing usually takes several hours, depending on the size of the heating system and the level of contamination present in the pipework and radiators.

Does powerflushing improve heating performance?

Yes. Removing sludge and debris from the system improves water circulation, helping radiators heat more evenly and allowing the boiler to operate more efficiently.

What are the signs my system needs powerflushing?

Common signs include cold spots on radiators, slow heating, unusual noises from the boiler or radiators, and discoloured water when bleeding radiators.

Can powerflushing extend the life of a heating system?

Yes. Cleaning the heating system reduces strain on the boiler, pumps and radiators, which can help extend the lifespan of the overall system.

How does underfloor heating work?

Wet underfloor heating works by circulating warm water through a network of pipes installed beneath the floor. The heat rises evenly throughout the room to create a comfortable indoor temperature.

Is wet underfloor heating energy efficient?

Yes. Underfloor heating can operate at lower water temperatures than traditional radiator systems, which can improve efficiency while keeping rooms comfortable.

Can underfloor heating work with my boiler?

Yes. Wet underfloor heating systems work with most modern boilers. We assess your current heating system and make sure the underfloor system is installed correctly for reliable operation.

Is underfloor heating suitable for extensions?

Yes. Wet underfloor heating is commonly installed in extensions, kitchen renovations and new living spaces where efficient, evenly distributed heat is beneficial.

Does underfloor heating replace radiators completely?

In some rooms underfloor heating can replace radiators entirely, although in larger properties it is sometimes installed alongside traditional radiators depending on the heating requirements.

Can air conditioning heat as well as cool?

Yes. Many modern air conditioning systems provide both heating and cooling, allowing you to control the temperature of your room throughout the year rather than only in summer.

Is air conditioning noisy?

Modern systems are designed with quiet operation in mind, which makes them suitable for areas such as bedrooms and home offices where noise levels are particularly important.

Where does the outside unit go?

The best position depends on your property and the location of the indoor unit. We assess this as part of the installation and discuss the available options with you before we begin.

Is home air conditioning expensive to run?

Modern air conditioning systems are designed to operate efficiently. Running costs depend on the system, room size, temperature settings and how frequently you use it, and we will help you choose an efficient system for your needs.

What rooms can air conditioning be installed in?

Air conditioning can be installed in a wide range of spaces, including bedrooms, living rooms, conservatories and home offices. We assess the room and recommend a suitably sized system.
