Home Air Conditioning Installation in Leicester

The Brief

A homeowner in Leicester wanted a comfortable way to keep a room cool through the warmer months, with the added benefit of efficient heating in winter. They asked Forge Climate for a modern air conditioning system that would be quiet enough for everyday living, tidy to look at, and simple to control. After discussing how the room was used, we recommended a suitably sized wall-mounted system that heats as well as cools.

What We Did

Our work included:

• Assessed the room and layout: Checked the room size, wall construction and the best position for both the indoor unit and the external condenser to give even performance and a neat finish.
• Fitted the indoor unit: Mounted the wall unit at a sensible height for airflow and easy access, keeping it clear of obstructions.
• Installed the external condenser: Positioned the outdoor unit securely on the wall, allowing enough clearance for airflow and future servicing.
• Ran the cabling and pipework: Connected the indoor and outdoor units with refrigerant pipework, drainage and electrical cabling, routed neatly and kept as discreet as possible.
• Commissioned and tested: Charged and set up the system as a certified F-Gas engineer, then checked cooling, heating and controls to confirm everything ran quietly and correctly.
• Handover: Showed the homeowner how to use the remote and modes, and how to keep the filters clean for reliable performance.

The Result

A quiet, energy efficient air conditioning system that gives the homeowner fast cooling in summer and useful heating in the colder months, all from a single unit. The installation was left clean and tidy, with the pipework routed discreetly and the outdoor unit neatly positioned. The work is backed by our workmanship guarantee.
